A fine George III mahogany long case clock, case by James Dunnett of St. Helens with three sets of deep fluted turned columns on each side of the hood which features gilt painted glass panels. The 12" arched top painted dial has moon disk, black numbers second hand and calendar dial. The eight day five pillar movement has an anchor escapment, striking hours and is stamped on the dial back plate "Osborne" - John Osborne, Birmingham Circa 1772 ( 89"h x 22"w x 10"d )
